Advisory Program

Advisory Program

Advisors are advocates for their students and are concerned with all aspects of those students’ lives, facilitating communication between students, teachers, and parents, and ensuring a true learning partnership. The Advisory Program has three aims:

  • To build and strengthen trust and relationships between advisors and advisees.
  • To address and consider topics typically not addressed in the classroom setting.
  • To have fun!

Every student participates in the FBRA Advisory Program, and groups typically consist of two students from each grade-level. Students meet with their Advisor twice a week during Monday and Friday lunch time and participate in Advisory time on Monday afternoon. Advisors conduct check-ins with their students to determine how they are doing socially, academically, and behaviorally and then report to the parents of their Advisees at least once a quarter.
