Stiles Rader is joining the FBRA Girls school for the 2023-2024 school year as a 6th grade humanities teacher! Stiles graduated in 2014 from Appalachian State University with a degree in Recreation Management and a minor in Spanish. Since 2014, Stiles has worked with the North Carolina Outward Bound School in many roles, but most recently as a whitewater canoeing specialist and Program Director for the NC Mountains program. She also spent 6 winter seasons working in Bariloche, Argentina for Outward Bound. Stiles has also taught in the Recreation Management departments at Lees McRae College and Western Carolina University. When Stiles is not working, she enjoys spending time with family and friends biking, hiking, paddling, and exploring the mountains of western North Carolina. Stiles is thrilled to join the FBRA community in August and share her passion for learning, history, international travel, and the outdoors with FBRA girls and families!
