More About Stiles: Stiles Rockey serves as Development Director at French Broad River Academy, where she works to strengthen relationships with alumni, families, donors, and community partners in support of the school’s mission. As a passionate educator and leader, Stiles brings a unique blend of program leadership, relationship-building, event management, and outdoor education experience to her role.
Prior to joining FBRA, Stiles spent nearly a decade with the North Carolina Outward Bound School in a variety of leadership roles, including Program Director. She also taught in the Recreation Management departments at Lees-McRae College and Western Carolina University. These experiences deepened her belief in the power of experiential education, strong relationships, and community.
Since joining FBRA, Stiles has served as Dean of Students and 6th grade Spanish teacher at the FBRA Girls program. In her role as Development Director, she is excited to help grow the community that makes FBRA such a special place while ensuring future generations of students have access to the life-changing opportunities the school provides.
Stiles holds a B.S. in Recreation Management with a minor in Spanish from Appalachian State University and is currently pursuing her MBA at Western Carolina University. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and friends, as well as paddling, biking, hiking, traveling, and exploring the mountains and rivers of Western North Carolina.
