Mrs. Allison is a WNC native, growing up in Cullowhee before attending Gardner-Webb University for her B.S. in Elementary Ed. and completing a Masters in STEM education at NC State. She has a passion for empowering students to become problem solvers of today and tomorrow. She is enthusiastic about STEM and strives to give her students the strongest foundation in math and science that she can provide. Mrs. Allison has high expectations for the rigor and teamwork in the classroom and loves when students show creative thinking in their notes, projects, and even on tests. With over seven years experience as a public school educator and over twelve years working with adolescents she is passionate about social emotional health and fostering resiliency. Mrs. Allison has many years of experience in Search and Recovery efforts including assisting in locating missing persons and in training Human Remain Detection K9 from all over the U.S. and Canada. She loves working with animals, home projects, and adventuring around the world. Since highschool, she has traveled to 44 states and 15 countries with her family and friends.
