Dorrie Sieburg joins the FBRA team with over 20 years of experience in education. She started her career teaching environmental education at a national estuarine research reserve in the Puget Sound region. Her love of nature and the outdoors led her to Monteverde, Costa Rica where she taught 2nd grade at the Cloud Forest School. She then moved to Asheville and taught middle school Spanish, Math and Science at Carolina Day School before moving into the gender equity space leading leadership programming for women and girls through the American Association of University Women.
Dorrie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Penn State University. She is an avid hiker and loves exploring the mountains of WNC with her two daughters, Ellie and Fern.
