Jordan is excited to be joining the FBRA team as a Science and STEM teacher this fall. After graduating in 2016 from West Virginia University with a Mechanical Engineering degree, he dove into a career in Outdoor Education with the North Carolina Outward Bound School. He has worn many hats for NCOBS, but most recently he was managing the whitewater program there: ensuring that the multi- day river trips NCOBS runs were set up for success. He is looking forward to teaching at FBRA because he loves being a part of value- driven organizations where student character development is at the center.
Jordan has taught many sorts of outdoor activities: rock climbing, whitewater canoeing and kayaking, and skiing. He is currently a certified ACA Level 4 Whitewater Canoe Instructor, ACA Level 5 Swiftwater Rescue Instructor, and Wilderness First Responder. He is excited to combine his outdoor experience with his interest in sciences to provide FBRA students with truly unique educational experiences!
